What YOU Get From Planning Your Work Week?!

Success in your business is the biggest benefit you get. But, here are the other remarkable rewards you receive from taking just 30-minutes out of your week:

  1. When You Plan Your Week You… Use Your Time Wisely

Clearly defining the list of tasks that you need to complete will stop you from wasting time working out - what you should be working on. Weekly planning means you have what you should be working on - sorted!

Rather than wasting time on deciding what you should be working on every time you start your day or complete a task you can use that time to actually work on your tasks. Time saved = finish work early!!

By listing out the activities to be completed you can bundle similar tasks together: creating a graphic for your blog post, then in the same sitting work on graphic ideas for your social media. Working on tasks that are similar will save you time.

Also, you can dedicate more time towards activities that make the most impact in your business. We all have admin tasks in our businesses that are important to keeping us organised, so we can do the important stuff, but they do not really drive our business. Planning your week helps you to allocate precious time to activities that are highly valuable for your business and try to restrict time to activities that are the least valuable.

Therefore, planning your week means you will be able to use YOUR TIME WISELY.

  1. When You Plan Your Week You Deliver… Higher Quality Work

Identifying what the most important tasks in the coming week are for your business means you can plan activities, so that you can deliver incredible quality work.

For example, if you have a client project that you are working on in the following week, then you can allocate time towards that client project to ensure you are doing all the tasks and activities needed. This way you can deliver exceptional service to your client.

Planning your week by having important projects, activities and what you need to do outlined ensures that you present valuable work and content to both: prospective and existing clients.

Producing incredible and premium quality work is vital for stellar customer service. This is difficult to make happen and deliver without a plan for your week, where you can define the steps and tasks that will lead you to creating premium quality work.

Generating wonderful work requires a plan for how that looks and what you have to do for you to deliver that. Also, it will add immense value in your business through the strong trust, relationship and confidence you develop with your audience.

  1. When You Plan Your Week You… Are Less Stressed!

Many of us feel stressed because we are worried we have missed something or have not completed an important task. A simple way to eliminate this stress and worry is by: planning our week.

A plan for your week where you set out the tasks and activities you need to complete will give you peace of mind, because you are not stressed thinking about: what you have missed and what else needs to be completed. You can simply do the work that you have planned and go through your entire week: STRESS-FREE!

Planning also adds balance, this means you have time where you are working but you also have time in your day you spend relaxing and focusing on what is important to you outside of your business.

Something else that creates stress for a lot of us is feeling like we have not achieved anything, but planning your week makes you feel accomplished. Completing tasks identified in your plan will give you confidence that you have made progress in your business.

Terrific Tips to Make: Planning for Success in Your Business, A Success!

Hopefully, the above has given you a strong idea for why planning your business week is very important. Now, we are going to move on to covering some tips you can implement to make planning your work week a success:

  1. Block time in your week for your weekly planning session. The first weekly plan might be slightly longer but for every weekly planning session after that set up a recurring appointment in your calendar. This way you will be extremely likely to plan your week for success.

  1. List out your yearly / quarterly / monthly goals as this will help ensure the weekly goals and tasks you are scheduling for the week ahead are going to push you towards the bigger goals. The whole point of planning is to get to those BIG GOALS, if you do not know what they are - then what are you planning for?!

  1. Do not overschedule your time, ask yourself if the tasks on your list: are important; are they urgent; can they be done the next week; how long will they realistically take (the more time you give yourself, the more you will take). Planning your week is supposed to give you balance in your day, filling every hour with something or loading your day with tasks is not achieving the goal of the activity of planning.

  1. Schedule more time towards the most valuable tasks, most of your time should be spent on the activities that have the most impact in your business. Spending more time on activities that are least valuable is wasting your time, and you and your business receive less value from that time spent. Growth and success in your business will come from the activities that directly have an impact on your business. In your list of tasks, identify what the most valuable activities are and try to give most of the time to them..

  1. Reflect!! Every week that you go to plan, take time to reflect on how the last week went and what are some of the changes you want to make. Improvement and progress cannot happen if you do not know what needs to be improved, reflecting will help you identify where you can do better and what is working incredibly well. This is important for working towards success

With that we have come to the end of a very important post. I really hope that you take great value from the information provided and that you are able to take on board some of the tips and advice. I would love to hear your comments and thoughts down below so please let me know what are some of the things you will do in your weekly planning from what was mentioned in the post.

Thank you and I will see you in my next post!

Be Innovative in Your Business

Innovation is how businesses continue to exist, stay competitive and be attractive to their customers. Without innovating your business will become stationary, and this can lead to a decline in your ability to attract and retain clients.  Innovation has become a real buzzword and is defined in different ways by different people, I define innovation as the process of taking your experiences, knowledge and skills to create an idea that leads to a change, big or small, in something: process in your business or a solution you offer to customers. But, the change is a result of your creativity combined with what you already know and the experiences you have had.  Disclaimer: Information in this post is intended only for general and entertainment purposes only. How to Make Your Business Successful By Taking Action

No business has ever become successful without action. Any successful business you see today is as a result of the actions taken by the owner of that business. If you want to be able to have a successful business then you need to be taking consistent action, this will lead to growth in your business and move it towards success.  There are a lot of people (including myself) who spend time, more than is needed, researching, reading, listening to podcasts, watching videos on YouTube and taking courses. Whilst learning and developing knowledge and skills is important, equally as important is to take action and put that learning into practice. Learning only becomes useful when it generates results. You can only generate results by taking action. Taking action can be scary because you want everything you put out publicly or everything that represents you and your business to be ‘perfect’. One of the biggest strengths of a small business compared to a large organisation is you can take acti
