Blogs have become an incredibly popular form of content and one that almost every business has incorporated as part of their business strategy. Any website you visit is likely to have a blog element where it gives more information about the services / products offered by the company, recommend resources or discuss current trending topics in the specific industry. Whenever I visit a website that is selling a service or product I am likely to check out its blog to find out more information. Let me know in the comments below if you have checked out a blog of a business before purchasing a service or product. Successful Entrepreneurs Think Long-Term

Many people who start a side business do it with the intention of building a business that they can replace their full-time income with. But, a lot of people start a business with short-term thinking of making money immediately by putting in limited and very little investment in terms of time and money. However, building a business is a long-term game. Many businesses do not see a great amount of revenue for a while, perhaps up to a year depending on what business you are building.  Thinking long-term is vital to be a successful entrepreneur because that will keep you committed to growing your business and not ditch it because your unrealistic goals are not reached.  This mindset difference is what separates the successful business owners to the ones who are unsuccessful. One of the biggest strengths of a small business compared to a large organisation is you can take acti

Why Motivation is Important to Succeed as a Small Business Owner

Motivation gives us the power and energy to engage in activities and tasks. Most people start businesses because of the initial motivation - to be their own boss, have control over their own income, develop a skill. These motivators give us the push to take action. But, motivation does not last. There will be times when you feel low, confused, lonely and doubt yourself. In moments like these it’s important we keep pushing and resist the urge to stop. Stopping after the tremendous effort we put into our business, which was pushed by motivation, will erode all the success we gained from that effort. Pushing through and sticking to what we started will compound that effort and we will see the result, success and reward which will act as additional motivation.  Although we may experience times where our motivation is low, there are a couple of activities we can do to help give us enough motivation so we can continue working on our business.  Disclaimer: Information in this post is intended
